The Community Endowment Fund
Our undesignated Community Endowment Fund acts as an endowment for the Chattahoochee Valley, allowing the Community Foundation to address issues in its focus areas: arts and culture, child and youth development, community enrichment, education, the environment and human services.
While this Discretionary Fund is still small compared to the size of some of our donor-advised funds, it offers donors a great way to give to the ‘big pictures’ in our area. When we talk about the Community Foundation being here ‘For Good. Forever.,’ this is just the kind of involvement we mean.
Discretionary Fund grants are only one of the many kinds of grants we make, but they’re important because they give us the flexibility to address pressing needs. As we grow and people discover how our Community Endowment Fund can tackle the issues of the community, today and tomorrow, we’ll be able to help donors have a long-term significant impact on our area—and we’ll be in a position to have a much greater impact on a wide range of community issues.
